Farm Services
Agistment or Boarding Services – If you want to purchase alpacas, but are not ready to keep them on your own farm (or don’t have the farm yet), or wish to own alpacas for the investment aspects and tax benefits, you may want to consider agisting your alpacas at someone else’s farm. For a fee of $2.50 per day per animal, we will board your alpaca. This fee includes normal daily care like feed and hay, and toenail trimming when needed. There would be an additional charge for any shots given (e.g., Dectomax for meningeal worm, annual shots such as CD &T, rabies, etc.), as well as any costs incurred for veterinary fees and fees for birthing expenses.
Seminars & Workshops – For more information, contact us regarding our seminars and workshops that we will be scheduling to assist people who are looking into the possibility of getting into the alpaca business. We will help you to determine what is needed to get started the right way, how to find the right alpacas for you, how NOT to run out and make and uninformed purchase that may not be what you really want. We’ll show you, through hands on lessons, how to care for an alpaca and how to evaluate an animal for its conformation, bite, and fiber. We’ll teach you some of the “buzz” words, like “conformation,” and help you understand what everyone is talking about. Most of all, we’ll be there for you, now & later (even if you purchase your alpacas elsewhere), to support you and mentor you.
Sales & Consulting – We offer alpacas for sale from our own stock. But if we don’t have the alpaca you’re looking for, we will gladly help you find that “perfect” alpaca. We have many friends in the alpaca business, so we can find whatever you may want by working as Consultants. Just tell us what you are looking for and we’ll find the alpacas for you to check out.
Product Sales – We will be offering a line of alpaca products for retail sale, including sweaters, scarves, socks, hats, gloves, yarn, teddy bears, and the like. There’s nothing like an alpaca sweater on a frigid winter day to keep you toasty, or an alpaca teddy bear to cuddle!
Farm Visits – Please call us to arrange a visit! We love to have people come to see our alpacas and see for themselves how wonderful these creatures really are!
